Bichon Frise
The Bichon Frise was bred to be a companion pet. He is gay, playful and affectionate and frequently appear to be smiling. He loves human interaction and does not need a lot of exercise, so he is very suited to apartment living. His coat requires attention to look its best, and daily brushing is suggested. Bichons do not shed a lot and are therefore may be appropriate for people with allergies to dogs. Bichons have a double coat with a profuse, silky outer coat that is generally pure white but may have touches of apricot, cream or even gray on the ears. He is a member of the toy breed classification and ranges up to 12 inches in height and around 12 pounds when full grown (though there is no official weight specified in the breed standard).
