Beagle
Beagles are one of the oldest known scent hounds and have probably been around since pre-Roman days. Today they excel as family pets because they get along well with children and other pets. They are gentle, loving and clean~~ requiring minimal grooming. They are equally comfortable in a suburban home or apartment, although they do require some exercise to avoid overweight. Beagles can be good watch dogs and are easy to train. Beagles range in size up to 15 inches and will weigh approximately 18-20 pounds when fully grown.
