Cavachon (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel & Bichon Frise)
This designer breed resulted from crossing a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a Bichon Frise. The Cavachon is an affectionate companion pet, with hypoallergenic tendencies because of the Bichon component of their background. Their coat may be wavy or curled and comes in a broad range of colors. The Cavachon will require some grooming in order to keep its coat looking its best; some owners opt to have them professionally clipped. This is an alert, animated, lively dog that will be small to medium sized when fully grown (10-20 lbs, 12-16 inches). They love some degree of exercise, either in the form of daily walks or chasing after toys in their home environment and are equally suitable for apartment or single family home. The Cavachon is very people oriented and will also get along well with other pets in the family.
