Himalayan

Himalayans are long-haired cats with pushed-in faces like the Persian cat.  Unlike the Persian, they have blue eyes and "points", darker colored areas on the feet, legs, ears and tail which were obtained by breeding Persians and Siamese cats.  These points may be one of many colors: sealpoint, bluepoint, lilacpoint, lynxpoint chocolatepoint, redpoint, creampoint or even tabby or tortoiseshell.   These points tend to intensify in color as the cat matures.  The fur on the Himalayan's body is white or cream. The Himalayan's coat will require frequent brushing to keep its optimal condition, and it may be necessary to wipe their faces (especially the eye area) daily with warm water.  The Himalayan is a very social, friendly, even-tempered, intelligent companion pet.  Generally speaking, they are more active than Persians because of that part of their heritage which traces back to the Siamese cat.
